Yeah, I said nothing about taking away local co-op. Games can have both.

They can. But online play means they can't market to young children or get the necessary ratings in many countries.

But Lego Worlds has online co-op. And there are tons of E rated games with online co-op.

Lego Worlds isn't available in many markets. And yes, E rated games in America can have online co-op. Which doesn't change the fact that many markets don't allow games for young children to include online play. Most of the world is actually against young children participating in online co-op.
