Have you tried any book apps on your phone? I recommend Oodles. It's free and has tons of books in every genre. I love it because it's all older books and there are complete series as well.

If you're looking for newer books, your library may have an app. Mine has two. There's a limit to amount of books you can borrow per month, but it's all free. All you need is a library card.

... you may not even need a library card, if you're using Overdrive.

I can't read stuff on my phone, it's way too small. Plus the battery really gets hot/power runs down fast if i'm using it a lot (even having a text conversation with my daughter, if it goes on too long, it's overheating).

Yeah, i kinda need a new phone.

I would doubt very much my library (teeny tiny) has something like that but, again - can't use my phone to read. I don't suppose those things work on a PC?

Unfortunately, it's app only. For PC, I'd recommend Gutenburg and Wikisource.

You've probably heard of this site. It's got tons of old books.

You can sort by era, author, genre, and nationality. All older books, but still great. I read the entire Oz series here.

I've heard of and used them both. It's great for older stuff, yes.

DA

if there's apps that you can't use on your phone, there are android emulators that you can use on your PC -- bluestacks and nox are two.
