I agree that she's sending a good message. But I thought role model means someone you want to be like. Meaning if this lady is a Youtuber and someone's role model, they must want to be a Youtuber too.

OP said that she's passionate about girls having strong role models, not that she herself is a role model.

That said - even if someone wants to be a YouTuber, it's also still good to model that being a YouTuber is not some kind of be-all end-all.

The Youtuber in question is Simply Nailogical and while she does Youtube as a hobby she's really succesful at, she also has a real job (I think she's a crime analyst or something like that) that she won't give up.

I can't even remember how I stumbled over her (probably saw her cute cats in the thumbnail at some point and clicked), but so far I've enjoyed all her videos.

Youtube is her side job. She's a laboratory scientist who enjoys that as her day/main job
