I'm also bi and married a bi dude and we had a kid together, so I can understand how most people would look at us and get it wrong, but I agree that representation on screen is a different matter than irl.

The nice thing about one of the male leads on Voltron was that he was shown to kiss nobody for several seasons and only at the end did we learn he was gay. It's not the best rep, I would have preferred it was open from the beginning, but at least it's canon now for a kid's show. Representation has to start somewhere and then improve.
