I don't want to be rude but this seems like a pretty marked overreaction. I agree that harassment is bad and I think that sometimes people are pretty silly when they're using LGBT rep as an excuse for ship warring. But I don't think it's bad to demonstrate that there's an audience for this stuff, or to give feedback about what you want and what you're interested in.

Especially in TV! TV is a serial medium! By its very nature, one of the distinguishing characteristics of TV is that the people making it can respond to their audience as they're in the process of making it. I don't think that's a bad thing, or a failure to respect the auteuristic vision of the creators.

Yes! What I like about them is that they're a really good match. They both have very serious personalities and are into the same fine culture/fine dining. It is 100% realistic that these two would be together.

I wasn't talking about the stereotypical situation where creepy men dump money on the sexy ladies. I watch mostly drummers and guitarists who are overwhelmingly male-with-straight-male-fans, on firmly family-friendly channels - it's definitely a special #1 fan attention thing
