In the US undoubtedly true.

Redheads get a fucking brutal ride in the UK. Much worse than the States.

If you google 'newstatesman should ginger-bashing be a hate crime' you will get an article with some examples from the news of the kind of abuse redheads get in Britain.

That prejudice against redheads is not a patch on the prejudice suffered by black people in the US. Not even in the same ballpark.

But in the UK things are very very different. Sure there's racism in general and it's getting worse. But redheads get their own special brand of prejudice aimed at them from birth until ageing turns your hair white. Read the article if you want examples. It's not lengthy.

Agreed. Especially in Scotland where the POC population is tiny. At my high school it was common for POC to be left alone and be included in all things but redheads were treated horrendously. My friend started dying her hair at 11 because of it and still they went on saying they could see her eyelashes and calling her a 'ginger minge'.
