Team Vin or Team Rock

(Anonymous) 2019-08-05 11:39 pm (UTC)(link)
Hobbs & Shaw is out now so it's important to ask:

Team Vin, or Team Rock? Which do you choose?

Can I be Team Shaw Family? I want a kick ass movie with Jason Statham, Luke Evans, and Helen Mirren (and I think there's a sister in H&S?).

You can always be on Team Helen Mirren no matter what I think

If I say Vin, will we get that Bloodshot trailer?

I never heard about The Rock being a pain on any of his 300 movie sets.

Don't watch those movies. I'm a fan of other movies featuring those actors, though. Vin is great as Riddick in that trilogy. And the Rock is great in just about everything. So both I guess.

Should I use ice or heat for heel pain while I wait for referral to a podiatrist?

Started out as just pain at the back of my heel when I walked barefoot or stood barefoot. Has progressed to my whole heel any time I put any weight on it or any time at all really. Worse barefoot, but bad all the time. Still feel some pain even lying down with no weight on it at all. I've tried both ice and heat, and neither has helped all that much that I can tell so far.

Sadly, I've got 4 more hearings this week, so I can't just stay home. And one is at Pearsall, which means a lot of driving. I've got orthopedics in my sandals, but they aren't as good on my feet as my sneakers. Can't get away with sneakers in court, though.

if there's any chance it's swelling, a strain, or similar, go with the ice.

I always assumed ice was only for immediately after an obvious injury but any other muscle or joint pain should be heat. I was wrong. it doesn't matter if you haven't obviously injured the area recently, ice it to reduce swelling. heat will only aggravate any inflammation. if you can't ice, then an anti-inflammatory medication.

It could be anything. I honestly have no idea. I didn't do anything to it that I know of. I guess the ice felt a little better, at least for a short while? Didn't last long. But the heat didn't do anything at all. So I guess I'll go with ice.

I don’t know if this will help, but try elevating your legs/feet while you read/watch tv/sleep by putting them up on a couple of pillows or something; sometimes it helps me when my feet hurt.

Unless it feels like a muscle issue (which is unlikely in the heel) go with ice.
