I get the argument re: his child. I do. I have a daughter. But, in fairness - they kids wouldn't die, they just would never be. The potential for them will be there, though.

But really - as awful a thought as it is, when they reversed the Snap, so much stuff would have been so horribly fucked up. All those people who moved on, or maybe died; all those people who moved away, found other lives, etc.... And then here are all these people like nothing ever happened.....

Really just better if they put Bucky in a sniper nest somewhere, pile onto Thanos so he's distracted, and then fucking shoot him in the head with the type of bullet that expands. I mean - c'mon. That or just chop his damn arm off and have Strange or somebody spirit all the stones away.

Yeah, this was my major takeaway from the whole thing, and why it left a super-awful taste in my mouth. I don't think undoing the snap was the right thing to do. Maybe that's an F!S in and of itself, haha. But I just don't... see how undoing it was any better than doing it in the first place. It still ruined and undid billions of lives.

The whole thing was such a fucking mess. I will defend my Bucky/Steve to the fucking death but....
Yeah. Meh.

+1

There's still the potential for Morgan and all those other kids without the Snap. With it, you're willfully traumatizing everyone--both the people that survived and the people brought back five years on.

To me that's the same as killing them. The circumstances that made them will never exist. Stuff would be fucked either way.

I can't imagine having to make the choice of my girl vs all the world. But, yeah, they wouldn't be killed. And what about all of the kids who were actually killed because of the snap? Not just the kids who were snapped and were brought back. The kids who were in planes and cars that got into accidents because drivers and pilots were snapped? Kids who were abandoned in cars and homes and died because their caregivers were snapped? Kids who had miserable existences because they were in a likely overloaded foster care system because their parents were snapped or killed or who otherwise suffered because of the snap? The kids who will starve in the present time because the world has adapted to feeding half the pipulation? And that's just a few of the issues. That is a lot of suffering that wouldn't exist if the snap were simply undone so everyone could be where they were snapped.

This. The "think of the children" argument implies that the other Avengers WEREN'T thinking about anyone else.

Exactly. I wonder what happened to so much stuff. I mean - five years isn't enough to turn the highways into fields, but....wow. A lot of things would have been unusable and just ruined, especially in places with more harsh/extreme weather.
