It annoys me when the comments on a secret are all asking for clarification or disagreeing with the fundamental point of the secret, and OP doesn't show up to explain shit. Why make a post if you don't want to talk to anyone about it?

Can't talk for everyone, but due to my schedule I can't be here every single day of the week so there is a chance that my secret will get posted on a day when I just can't participate. Sometimes I'll answer even if it is 1 or 2 days late but usually I don't bother because by then all the conversation has moved to the next secret post(s) and nobody will see it.

People have jobs. We can't all be free to comment here every day. Some days I work for 15 hours, plus commute. Other days I'm totally free. Them's the breaks.

but I didn't make the post. some weirdo around here mined my comment in some other thread (and it wasn't secrets you wish you could make) and turned it into a secret, I had no control. how am I supposed to know to show up to discuss something I had no input into?

Secrets don't get posted the day you submit them, there's a queue. I know I've missed my secrets before because something came up and I wasn't able to come online until late. It's a hit and miss mostly.
Also some secrets are made just to say something, not create a discussion. Sometimes an OP can be hesitant to reply or claim a secret if they think they might be recognized by the way they type, or if they have a personal anxiety associated with the secret.
