in a sense, yes. I'll agree he's not a 'young leading man' like maybe Brad Pitt, but to a certain extent, he is making his living by his face, especially when chosen for roles that require a certain look.

1. No, I'm not "butthurt" over what people might think of me. I don't even have dark circles under my eyes, imagine that.

2. I really do not agree that Harvey Keitel, or any dedicated actor, makes his (or her) living by his face. He makes his living by bringing characters to life, by translating flat characters written on a page into three-dimensional people. People are often cast because they have a certain look, but they're also cast because of their talent.

I don't know what this has to do with anything, except that I guess I bristle at the idea that all actors are vain and matter only as much as their looks.

I never said they were vain, only that their trade is partly due to their looks.

Yes, I'm aware I'm taking it too seriously. Hence the anonymity. So sorry that I happened to take something a little personally, as stupid as it was to do so.

And honestly, I don't care what aesthetic people like. I enjoy imperfections, other people can choose not to. I just found the "secret" itself kind of moronic in a "what the fuck kind of secret is that?" way. I get annoyed with seeing a lot of things posted here that don't seem to me to be opinions that it wouldn't be fine to openly share with the world. I shouldn't have taken that out on the OP when it's an annoyance I have with other secrets too, but the secret caught my attention and I did.
