What are your weekend plans? I know some of you are lucky enough to have a three day one.

Tomorrow my sister is coming up and we are going to grill out. Sunday, I am going to try and crochet a bee. Monday I am going to relax.

I have the weekend mostly off, thankfully. Not feeling great, so I'm happy I don't have much to do, other than job applications for a few hours tomorrow. Since Avenue is closing their physical stores, my mom and I might go up to the one near us at some point tomorrow.

Other than that, catching up on sleep. Baths. Time with my kitty. Watching something, but not sure what yet. Just relaxing.

I hope you feel better. Maybe the extra sleep will help. :)

I’ll be doing some of my regular day off boring stuff like housecleaning and laundry tomorrow, but I usher a play on Sunday, so I’m glad to have Monday off and not have to get up a couple hours after I went to bed.

I’ll do some gardening and maybe start fixing up an old costume for Halloween so I have something to do with my hands while watching a couple of dvds from the library. Maybe cook something that reheats well so I’ll have work lunches sorted for the week.

It’s late in the summer to start them, but apparently runner beans like cooler weather and also we’ve had even less winter than the not much we used to get (climate change, grr) so I’m putting some painted lady runner beans in to hopefully cover an old fence. And everything always needs weeding and watering.

I have a bunch of stuff in pots (flowers, baby flowering shrubs, some peppers) that could go in the ground—peppers often perennialize here. Seed packets say to start sweet peas in September here, but that’s a lie, they always fry when I try it and I end up putting in a second round in October or November when it finally cools off. But I’ll probably start some early anyway, because I love sweet peas and I’m a dumbass.

Probably mostly relaxing - I've gotten into The Man in the High Castle on Amazon and I want to at least finish the first season this weekend. I also have to pack for a work trip that will take me out of town on Tuesday.

Write, I hope. Otherwise - nothing whatsoever. I'm tired, and I'm gonna sleep as much as I can (but i'm also old, and my back won't let me sleep as long as I'd like).

What are you writing? Fanfic? I hope your body lets you sleep!

Trying to finish and apocalyse!Bucky/Steve fic, and trying to get more done on a Steve/Bucky slave fic for my trope series, and wanting to write on an original work, too.

My body is being stupid and i think my Crohn's is flaring up and i'm so *annoyed* at it all.

Oh, always. Except for maybe one or two Buffy fic way back in the day, i don't do sad endings. :D

The new Dark Crystal show is out on Netflix so I'mma see how much of that I can watch over the next few days. Hopefully it's interesting, but if nothing else I bet it looks real pretty.

I've not seen the movie so it isn't all that interesting to me. But I hope you enjoy it! It does look very pretty.

My mom is out of town so I had dinner with my dad at one of my favorite restaurants and it was delicious. :D Then I stopped at the grocery on the way home for a couple things and now I'm home and don't plan on going anywhere until Tuesday when I have to be back at work. I want to do a lot of reading and I plan on watching Carnival Row at some point.

Right now I'm reading this book called Social Creature that I think I might finish tonight. It's one of those "character becomes obsessed with another, starts trying to look like them & wants to to take over their life" type stories that's been done like a hundred times before and I wasn't sure I'd like it, but it's turned out to be much more interesting than I expected and hard to put down.

I'm also reading a non-fiction book by Mitch Landrieu (former mayor of New Orleans) about the debate surrounding Confederate statues and race issues in the US that's super interesting.

Not sure what I'll read after I finish these two.

Half of my class puked today, so I’m very much looking forward to a three day weekend. I’m hoping to start a new sampler, write another chapter of my fic, get some paperwork done, and relax with a book and my dog.

Biggest street market in the country starts in about an hour!! I'll be there with a few book-loving friends and we'll get ALL the old comics, secondhand kitsch paperbacks, and maybe odd bits of tableware, we didn't know we needed until we found them!

Yup, thank you!! My feet hurt, I didn't find the one book series I'm looking for, but still got loads of other books, comics, a few plushies (how did I happen to stumble upon a Lumpy from Happy Tree Friends plushie?? and why did I instantly decide that I needed it??) and we had tons of fun!
