(Anonymous) 2019-09-02 01:02 am (UTC)(link)If you want a sense of this, here's a video of the suggestions scenes (warning: repetitive music and sound effects and some flashing lights) and another video of the prison cutscenes:

I mostly like the game for the visual aesthetic. Plus, you can either play with a more board game like appearance or a 3-D version where you can walk the characters into the various rooms and click on items to have them do stuff (my favorite is a chicken deflating in the kitchen).
As for other computer game recommendations, I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for. But I will always and forever recommend "Claw" a platformer about a pirate cat. It's got great game play, great voice acting, and pretty decent animated cutscenes. I keep hoping it'll show up on Steam someday.

(Anonymous) 2019-09-02 03:55 am (UTC)(link)The way Mrs. Peacock seems new and hesitant almost, while Col. Mustard likes it close and personal, she sits there like she knew she wouldn't get away with it, while he stands there like he knew he would. It only takes a second, but it really does say a lot about the characters. Prof. Plum does have that 'je ne sais quoi' about him. Watching the first video I figured he was one of those nefarious glasses type characters, but the way he holds his head in his hands in the cell kinda negates that?~ If you don't mind me asking, what kind of character does he play for you?
Oh, I'll check that out too! Though I'm not sure if I phrased my question right, I mean ROM as in a download for PC? (I'm used to downloading old games I have for gameboy and Nintendo 64, I'm pretty sure they were called ROMs) It's so hit and miss (by that, I mean miss and miss;;) to find older games on Steam, let alone in store. I'll forever regret not keeping a closer eye on my aunts NES, and all the games she had for it!

(Anonymous) 2019-09-02 08:01 am (UTC)(link)As I said in my comment below, I didn't fully flesh out the characters much, much less their motivations for wanting Mr. Boddy dead, but Plum's reaction in the cell, plus how he seems shocked to have killed Boddy when he fired the gun, made me more inclined to think of him as a generally nice, nerdy guy who either killed Boddy accidentally (with the gun) or only after being pushed to the brink and seeing no other option. But as I said, I prefer the smarter, more wiry guys to the big, strapping athletic types like Mr. Green, so I think I was just projecting.
Regarding ROMS, I'm afraid I can't help you there. I played games like Clue and Claw when they first came out on CD-ROM (hence my confusion), and I still have older laptops that can run them, so I play them via CD and not via download. Assuming I can do it legally, though, maybe I should look into that option. Those laptops won't be around forever...
