I wouldn't leave, but I might become too embarrassed to admit outside of that fandom that I was in it. It sucks to have your fandom bad-mouthed, but I figure people who do that are trying to compensate for their own fandom's reputation or their own behavior. "At least we're not as bad as that other fandom!" I hear people talk shit about the Supernatural fandom, but I don't join in the chorus because I don't care about Supernatural enough to care about the fandom.
