Oh, I know the feeling - when you're reading something and you're like, "Obviously these people aren't going to end up at the end because they're just not good for each other and the text is very clear about that! How nice, to see a story where an unrelated young man and young woman spend time together and do not end up in a romantic entanglement not because either of them is gay or secretly the villain (or both), but because they are not compatible!"
And then they end up in a relationship anyway, because the author has apparently not read their own book.
