I'm not entirely sure I can see Malcolm being into BDSM (not quite what you were saying, but that's where my mind went). Certainly not the SM part: it's too much like what he does during his day job. He also strikes me as being too uptight to ever be comfortable relinquishing full control, and assuming he actually got into a long-term relationship, he also wouldn't want to be too domineering in fear of scaring them off. For a one-night stand, though? If it makes his partner happy, then he'll go with it.

I'm not sure about toys (mostly because I don't know what kinds are out there), but given that xenokink I mentioned in the secret, I think he would absolutely be down for roleplay.

Again, why have I spent so much time thinking about this? It barely comes up in the fics I write!

I didn't mean BDSM at all actually. I guess what I meant was that sometimes he likes to know exactly what's expected of him. I feel like there are too often times that people are playing a little too fast and loose with the rules for Malcolm on the job and sometimes he would like a little structure off of it. But that's just me. As for toys, well, I just sort of see that as an extension of his fondness for weapons (finding them interesting, useful in certain situations, and exciting).
