Appointment at the allergist in the morning. Mom treated me to a pedicure and lunch after that. Got some work done. Going to eat dinner soon and then I plan on going to bed early. I'm really tired.

My boss wasn't at work so I was able to freely use some of my excel macros to do work and get it done quicker. Then I played Bloons for like an hour. About to start crocheting again.

I'm off work so I slept in late. When I got up I had Chinese food that was left over from getting it with a friend yesterday. I hadn't had Chinese food in a while so it was nice. I dressed and went out for tea, iced high mountain oolong. Nice on a hot day like today. I had a nail appointment and now I've got blue flower, silver glitter accented nails and sky blue toenails to match, lol. No but seriously, I love my fucking nail lady. She's the bomb. I went home and read a little while, now I'm waiting for NFL football to start.

Work, mostly, with bonus panic about possible return of the code inspectors, someone official was peering over the back fence this morning. I’m still fixing stuff from their previous visits, dammit.

Nursing my minor stab wounds I managed to give myself when drunk and trying to wrap presents the other day. I'm mostly just glad I know how to cover my tracks, since I cleaned everything up and bandaged myself up before going to bed. Blacking out sucks, I still don't know where I hid half the gifts.

Work, but the weekend is almost here. Planning to research the changes in ArcheAge so that I can be ready for the land rush in the new version coming up here soon. I really adored this game until they made it impossible to get land. I'm eager to give it a second chance years later, especially since I'm in a content drought for Final Fantasy XIV and have no interest in WoW Classic (on account of having played during vanilla and accomplishing everything I desired then)

Other than that, I'm probably going to be chilling. Finishing up some antibiotics and I'll be glad once that is done.

Maybe I’m just watching and reading the wrong things, but I miss optimism if that makes any sense. Everything seems to be gloomy or dystopian.

I wish we could have more good original movie musicals. I like a good jukebox musical as much as the next person, but can we have original scores again? I'd be okay with adaptations of stage musicals if they actually cast people who could sing :/

I miss fun, non-epic sword and sworcery. Where are you, my one-off adventure books? I don't need grit! I don't need grand, sweeping political odysseys! Just give a person a sword, and point them at a quest.

The sinking feeling you get as a fan when you realise the adaptation is going to do some weird shit with characters you love...
Anyone want to vent about adaptations past, present or future? Really, I just have one I want to complain about, but thought I'd share the fun.
