I think I have an irrational fear of being massivley hated online. I find myself occasionally checking to make sure I'm not mentioned on places like kiwifarms and I have literal nightmares about my friends online telling me I'm dead to them. I know this probably sounds full of myself to think I'm important enough to be known and I feel bad about that too.

I am so mad at myself that this is a thing I get stomach hurting anxiety over.

I know I'm hated online, but at this point, I've told myself I don't have to stick around to take anyone's hateful words. They can just fart it all out into the void and I don't have to respond to it or even care.

Then again, it probably helps I'm mostly anon and try to "behave" if I ever have to use my normal persona.

I'm a little bit split in this regard. On one hand, I do have significant anxiety about being dogpiled online for something I say or do. And I have a hard time rereading anything I said more than maybe a year ago, because I just get so hypercritical of myself and find everything I ever said cringey.

But OTOH, in the rare instance where anybody does come at me over something, my actual reaction tends to be very, "Lol, fuck off, Janice." So I guess for me it's the thought of it that's awful. In my imagination, it's horrible and I deserve it. But in reality, nah, I stand by my guns, and angry randos can either chill out or just stay mad.

I'm one of those evil "bihets" so I'm used to it.
