I think Taylor Swift did intend to stab Kanye in the back. But I kinda don't care.

He acted like they were cool, then called her up and asked for her blessing on a song in which he takes credit for her success, calls her a bitch, and talks about her like a sex object for him to fuck. I don't believe for a second that he cared about her blessing; I think he wanted to insult, belittle, and demean her publicly, and the phone call was just him rubbing it in her face that she couldn't stop him.

So yeah, she told him she was fine with it, and then shaded him publicly for being a sexist POS. He was two-faced; she responded in kind. Does anybody actually believe he would've changed the song if she'd said she wasn't cool with it? Because I sure don't.

I don't like Swifty but I can't stand Kanye, and his downfall has been hilariously karmic.

I wasn't paying very close attention to this drama - but wasn't the recording him saying, like, "I mention you in this song, are you okay with that"? Not, "I call you a bitch and suggest you owe me sexual favours for making you famous"? Because that's my recollection, but I could be wrong.

Judging purely off of the things she said in the recording, it seems like she heard the part where he claimed to have made her famous, because something she said in the recording was a refutation of that. (I think she mentioned something about how she'd sold nine million copies before the whole VMAs thing even happened.) And IIRC Kanye actually states the "might have sex" line in the recording? So the only part she might not have known about was that he was going to call her a bitch. She claims she didn't know about the "bitch" part. And it's certainly possible that the original line she heard used "chick" or "girl" instead of "bitch," although personally I kind of doubt it?
