(Anonymous) 2008-10-18 12:24 am (UTC)(link)We all prefer to spend our time on happy things but politics affect every aspect of our lives. It's vital to keep up to date. The government's imploding on itself because people don't care enough to keep themselves informed.

I did get informative responses, and now I know why some people hate Palin. I'll also admit I wasn't as well-informed as everyone else about her history; but the word "ignorant" infuriates me. The fact that certain people would brush me off as an idiot and ask if I've been living under a rock just because I didn't know some things is simply insulting. The initial question was pretty harmless, and I won't forgive anon for that degree of rudeness. (And yes, I know that anon won't even care about that, anyway. haha, what's the point? :| )
