139. Um... from what I've seen the problem is not that fandom doesn't believe the host was willing to be possessed. It's that the host willing to be possessed is an extremely devout man who is probably not willing to have even an ANGEL OF THE LORD~ have sex with another man using his body. :|

Ah, I'm not saying you have to think she's wonderful, but really, even if she was horrid (and I liked her in the Buffy musical, a lot, and thought that her acting in Buffy was good), she's hardly the worst out there. I- I'm serious go watch B-movies or listen to tone-deaf people try to sing. XD

And I honestly am sorry, I didn't meant to imply that you wanted people to be clones! I was confused by your use of "I don't get what people see in her"; I took people as meaning "anyone" instead of "everyone." There are way, way too many "WHY DOES THIS SERIES/BOOK/MOVIE/PERSON HAVE FANS IT SUCKS I DON'T GET IT" secrets around, it boggles my mind. XD I wasn't aware she had so many fans! I hope you stop feeling lonely soon.

Believe me, I've seen her in a lot. Singing, acting, writing - I can't believe I left that out, her one book had me laughing so loud I think the people at Barnes and Nobel were looking at me. But I keep watching her in things almost hoping this will be the thing I like and I'll understand where they're coming from, and nothing. And I know there are B-movie actors out there that could be considered worse, but it's generally accepted that they're awful. I suppose the better wording would be that she is the worst I've seen that is treated as a legitimate actress.

In the Buffy fandom, she does. If you say anything remotely negative about her or her character, you're generally outcasted. I think I said once that I didn't get her appeal on an LJ comm or messageboard back when the show was still on, and I got flamed so hard, I've never went back.

It's not a joke! There is a lot of Giles/Wesley fic out there, but not a lot of non-con. It's a popular slash pairing, or it was back in the day.
