I'm trans and fwiw I agree with you.

and to be honest, suddenly arriving at a sex scene or undressing scene and reading my own body configuration/thoughts of dysphoria described *without any kind of warning* would be distressing for me personally. so I don't think it's particularly thoughtful towards trans readers *either* not to include a content disclaimer. especially when many of us use fanfiction as escapism.

fellow trans and this +1000. it's not even a "you're doing it wrong" thing, it's entirely being smacked with my own dysphoria out of nowhere thanks. a little heads-up is all we're asking ok.

Yes thank you!! I couldn't figure out how to word it when I told a friend that I wasn't OK with random trans head canons showing up in fic without being tagged and they were like 'but YOU'RE trans, isn't that normal for you???'
