I've been away from HP fandom for a while but do people honestly still think that His Man Friday is a classic? Really? Really?
I remember it being unreadable and riddled with spelling errors and wasn't it one of those backfiring-spells-now-we're-bonded fics? Or they had to bond to defeat Voldemort. Something like that. Whatever it was about, there were far superior fics out there.

I can understand why If You Are Prepared and the Civil War series are considered classics - it's fine if they're not to your taste, but they were written long before the HP series ended. Maybe newer readers wouldn't enjoy them as much? I don't know, just an idea.

Was Death Eater Takes A Holiday ever completed? I remember that it got up to something like chapter 70 and was still going strong.

Speaking of unfinished epics, whatever happened to Mirror of Maybe? The first few chapters were great but then there were elves and Harry had all sorts of powers and it was lolarious.

Your secret is really bringing back some good memories - despite the badfic and the laptop scandals, I had a lot of fun in HP fandom. Thanks, OP!

No. I've been a Snarry shipper for six years and have never even heard of it.

Actually, I'm just remembering something, I think the author took all her fics down and didn't want them shared online anymore. I could be wrong, though.

I've never heard of His Man Friday and I got into Snarry pretty soon after I got into HP slash, which was some time summer 2002. I haven't always been actively searching fics, though. Then again, it might have been that I've seen it, but the name made me skip it - it would do so now, too.

I think that Death Eater Takes a Holiday was completed, but I'm not sure. It should be on ffnet if you're interested.

As far as I know, Mirror of Maybe hasn't been updated for years and probably never will be. The last update I remember was posted by someone other than the author and it wasn't even the next chapter in order, but something further onwards.

I think (but am not 100% sure) that His Man Friday was taken off the internet by request of the author. I can't find it online, at least, but I could be wrong.

I can't even remember what DETAH was about, just that it kept on going and going and going. It might have been a good story but it was far too drawn out for me.

I didn't know about that MoM future chapter but it doesn't surprise me that the fic won't be finished.

Now I'm feeling nostalgic for good Snarry fic!

I've been reading Snarry for a while now. There are plenty of fics pre OotP that I still think are great and IC, even with what limits they might have had. I'm pretty sure DETaH is completed now, but I could be a liar on that. I could never get past the first few chapters. And I'm certain that MoM is complete. That's another one I don't recall liking but is still considered fondly among many readers.

I'm proud to bring about good memories. :D AND I HAD COMPLETELY FORGOTTEN ABOUT THE LAPTOP SCANDAL, LULZ.

That's cool - it was just an idea I had.

I don't really remember what DETAH was about (aside from the obvious) but I don't remember it being bad (by my standards), just really long. MoM still makes me lol. It started out really well but then became really nutty.
