Crowdtap

This is a website/app where you take surveys, get points, and then you can turn the points in for gift cards.

https://crowdtap.com

Before recommending it to people, I made sure to test it. So, I did surveys, turned my points in, got my gift card (took a day), and used it (at Target). So, I can say it works. It took me a week to get a $10 card.

Will you be making bank? No. But, it is an easy way to make some extra money in your free time. I use it at work when I have nothing else to do (or am in a fairly hidden place during a meeting). If you use public transit, have free time at work, need something to do while listening to a podcast, this is great for you.

Tips: The app and site will have different questions. The site generally has larger credit ones. You CAN go to the site on your phone.

DO NOT LIE. You will get banned.

Read questions carefully. They have trick questions to make sure you are paying attention.

An example would be: What is your favorite color (choose orange)?

So, if you don't choose orange, they know you are no paying attention.

I am testing some other survey sites to see how user friendly and rewarding they are. I can tell you PrizeRebel SUCKS.

Dang, forget to mention that. Going to try several of these. I think a couple are international.

If you find one that's international and works, I'd love it if you mentioned it in a future GC thread. I'm pretty sure I signed up for CrowdTap a year or so ago, and after going through the hassle of signing up, they finally bothered to tell me it was US only. I wanted to reach through my screen and throttle someone.

I will do! I have a huge list to go thru.

Fruit Fly Trap!

(Anonymous) 2019-10-05 01:28 am (UTC)(link)
https://gardentherapy.ca/fruit-fly-trap/

I tested it out myself with wine, and a bit of tomato. (plus the rest of the directions, dishsoap, ect.) Works like a charm! I only had tomatoes (they began to spread after we bought a bushel of peaches to jar, and kept spreading after we collected tomatoes from the garden) to use as a lure. So something more fruity would probably work even better, but absolutely use wine! The fermentation of the wine is what draws them in the most.

I wonder if that works on gnats.

Hmm, I can't say for sure, but I wouldn't think so. Fruit flys lay eggs on overripe fruit, which they then feed off. (most fruit flys are born in home from fruit/vegetables brought in from the garden and supermarkets)
Gnats seem to be free-born or aquatic, so even if they were attracted to the trap more would just pop up. Gnats aren't so common where I live, but it's probably worth a try!

I love them for buying Christmas presents. My dad loves tea, and my sister likes tea a lot too. I actually don't like tea, but I still use them a lot for presents.
