(Anonymous) 2019-10-05 08:26 am (UTC)(link)Absolutely! If anything, I think this type of character tends to almost care too much, in a way. They're the classic overcompensater. They feel faulty and vulnerable so they project cool indomitability, and they care too much so they act like they don't give a shit. Though the fact that they actually care too much can be buried pretty deep, depending on the character. Sometimes even they don't know it about themselves. I think this type of character often believes their own hype, or loses track of which parts of their own hype are real and which parts aren't and ends up with a muddled self-identity for it. *squishes all of them*
