(Anonymous) 2019-10-05 03:52 am (UTC)(link)so it's unlikely that the particular scenes that you're objective to - as annoying as the way they're used for PR stuff is - actually have the effect of stopping Marvel or Disney or whoever from including better LGBTQ representation in their blockbusters. in the same way that the racial-swapped reboots OP was talking about originally probably don't take away from original content.

I think it does, though, since - once again - they have checked that square, they can pat themselves on the back and say they did it and go merrily on not really doing jack shite.
