I see what you mean, she was very cute, overly peppy, and happy all the time. A lot of tw on tumblr believe they have to act like an anime female does in order to be liked and validated but they're just putting on a front instead of being themselves.

I can confirm there are many of them like that. I was friends with two who were friends with eachother, it was like a mix of escaping abuse and turning it into a fetish, the best way I could describe it is to 'gain some control by turning it into something they could control'. It was strange to me because I've never thought of abuse as sexual and I didn't stay friends with either of them for more than a year because of our differing viewpoints.
