I can confirm there are many of them like that. I was friends with two who were friends with eachother, it was like a mix of escaping abuse and turning it into a fetish, the best way I could describe it is to 'gain some control by turning it into something they could control'. It was strange to me because I've never thought of abuse as sexual and I didn't stay friends with either of them for more than a year because of our differing viewpoints.
