It really is. He looked after me when I had to have my cat put down last year, because he knows what a bond it is and how much it hurts. While another friend said "it's just a cat though, lol." Some people don't get it.

He kind of was, but when I asked if he'd ever had pets for a long period he said no, so I guess it's something that doesn't click unless you've experienced it yourself. :(
