I don't think that loving flawed works makes someone a quote-unquote bad feminist. I believe critical engagement with books and things that we love is important and necessary, but critical engagement and love, even fierce love, aren't mutually exclusive by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm not fond of grimdark as a thing, either. Personally, at least in comics fandoms, I blame Frank Miller and Alan Moore. But, like, it's been 30 years, can we get back to more positive stories and less depressed and depressing characters?

I don't like him either. He's exactly the kind of "creator's pet" character type that I can't stand.
I mean, my main ship in this fandom is a rareship anyway so it's not even that he gets in the way of my favourite ships. I just don't like the character in general.
