As a huge Nancy Drew fan, I went into the new show with a grain of salt and the expectation that as a CW show it wouldn't be the ND I know and love. It isn't, and minus the dial up of the drama I expected from the CW, it's keeping my interest so far (only one episode, but that's fine).

My only pet peeve is the casting of Nancy and Carson. I know the actor playing Carson is 18 years older than the actress playing Nancy, but visually he doesn't look old enough to be her dad and it's just throwing me right out every time they have a scene together.

Um. She's 22. He's 51. He does have a heck of a baby face, but I'd certainly say he's old enough. Not sure where you're getting the 18-year age difference?

Lol because I can't math and somehow got 18 from '68 to '96. XD

He super doesn't look old enough to be her dad in a combo of his babyface and her adultface though.
