Secrets you're too lazy to make...

And please, if you don't want your comment made into a secret, please don't leave it in this thread. (Yes, there's a reason I have to say this.)

That's it. I'm finally giving up Chicago Med. Do they actually think it is okay for Will to control Natalie's career? He's not doing it for the patient's, he's doing it because he wants to control her. That's somehow their idea of a healthy, good romance. No. He's a "Nice Guy" and she should stay as far away from him as possible.

i don't get the use of healthy in regard to fictional ships tbh, because in all honesty i don't think many or most canon or fanon ships are what i'd consider entirely healthy, especially those in any kind of drama/action setting.

so i prefer to use the term happy because i that makes more sense to me, and it's certainly what matters the most to me: do these two characters make each other happy? that's all i'm after.

So my oldest friend recommended the book No Country for Old Gnomes by saying “it’s like Terry Pratchett’s stuff; it’s hilarious.” She hadn’t read the first book in the series, Kill the Farm Boy, but I’m one of those people who always wants to read a series in order, so I started it first.

...I got sick of literal shit jokes and general gross out humor before the end of chapter two. I don’t know if I’m gonna be able to finish the first book, nevermind the second. My friend never got into Pratchett, and if she honestly thinks his books are like these, I can see why.

I love the moment in TGWTDT (US movie) where Lisbeth matter-of-factly asks Mikael, "Can I kill him?" before she goes after Martin Vanger as he flees his own torture room.

I love that in this totally destabilized moment, she trusts Mikael to help her make that call. We know Lisbeth has no qualms about vigilante justice (or vengeance), but I love that here, she reflexively recruits Mikael to be the ‘judge’ to her ‘jury and executioner.’ IMO it makes both of their characters, and the dynamic between their characters, more interesting.

The thing is, Larsson took deliberate care not to make his female protagonists defer to men unless they had a solid, practical reason for doing so. And Lisbeth was doubly this way. So Larsson probably would've hated that line, and found it totally antithetical to the character as he wrote her. Because it kind of is?

Yet it's still a moment I really, really love.

Cruel Intentions 2 is an absolute turkey of a movie. Like, it’s legitimately borderline-unwatchable. But I've always found the scene where Katherine makes Lucille orgasm by “teaching her to ride a horse” really, really arousing. Something about Lucille's naivety as she obeys Katherine and gets progressively more aroused is just...it's stupid, embarrassing, and kind of creepy, but it really turns me on.

Marvelous Mrs Maisel secret.

If Suzie were better looking I'd probably ship the hell out of Midge/Suzie. The dynamic between her and Midge is exactly the kind of thing I tend to ship.

The thing is, I LOVE Suzie just as she is, and I really like that she looks the way she does. I just don't really want to picture her having sexytiems with anyone.

Secret for obvious reasons.

(For the record, Alex Borstein may not be "Hollywood pretty" but she is by no means a bad looking woman IMO.)

It's my belief that Pokemon and Sonic share a lot of the same problems and cycles.

Both as franchises AND as fandoms.

The only difference is, Pokemon backlash hasn't yet become memetic.

My fist thought when I discovered that CLAMP made doujinshis in the past was not of how weir it was, it was how pleb their ships were

I've realized I do like a certain level of "Dark and gritty". Battlestar Galactica level of dark. Battlestar almost always had a certain level of hope involved even though it could get pretty dark and though it had plenty of anti-heroes and very few outright heroes. That's how I like my darkness. I need hope. And I need a relatively happy ending.

If a fandom has an interesting villain, they are almost always going to be my favorite character. If a fandom has two villains, I am almost always going to ship them, and I'll probably ship villain/hero ships too. I'm not sure when or why my obsession with villains started, but they always seem to be the most interesting characters with the most interesting dynamics in any given fandom. MCU seems to be one of the rare exceptions to that.

Carla Hall needs to be on more food channel shows. Really just on more shows in general. She was always my favorite Top Chef contestant. She's just such a joy to watch. She's a genuinely nice and fun person. Her food always looks great. She's a good, fair, but nice judge. They need more of her. Less Bobby Flay, more Carla Hall please.

Fandom on Twitter was a mistake, because it’s allowed me to get a glimpse at some of the fanwork creators in my fandoms... and they’re all annoying as shit.

I am so pissed at the way they treated Mercedes in the newest season of Drag Race. Like wtf?! How can they get away with being that blatantly racist and ignorant towards her and being Muslim? Seriously?!
I watched for a few more episodes (until they kicked her out) just waiting for someone to say something... and what they did instead was have Mercedes /apologize/ to the asshole's who were harassing her about it, because she didn't want to seem 'rude' by walking away! Only Scarlet had the decency to say that they were the ones in the wrong, not Mercedes.

It's my first time watching RuPaul, and it's certainly my fucking last.

As a huge Nancy Drew fan, I went into the new show with a grain of salt and the expectation that as a CW show it wouldn't be the ND I know and love. It isn't, and minus the dial up of the drama I expected from the CW, it's keeping my interest so far (only one episode, but that's fine).

My only pet peeve is the casting of Nancy and Carson. I know the actor playing Carson is 18 years older than the actress playing Nancy, but visually he doesn't look old enough to be her dad and it's just throwing me right out every time they have a scene together.

I don't want the Benjamin Ashwood books made into a live action series. I know the author would love it if HBO made his books into the next Game of Thrones but I think the inevitable changes would ruin it.

And I'd prefer no fandom over the mess of gatekeepers, shippers, misogynists, and amateur critics whining about CGI that would surely spring up even before the first episode aired.

Fandom has watered down the words toxic and abusive so much I constantly find myself wondering if a couple I’m not familiar with is legitimately abusive, or if they merely disagree or argue sometimes.

Words have goddamn meaning you absolute shits for brains.

I don't have a sadism/masochism kink or a medical kink, but I just watched Little Shop of Horrors and found all the dentist scenes kind of hot. I just don't get why.

Maybe I'm turned on by Steve Martin in a bad wig doing an Elvis voice? That would be a real secret.

Ahrg, I'm late but here it goes:

As much as I'm looking forward to the Picard show I'm also dreading it. I wish Seven wasn't in it, not because I hate her, but because I like her and I'm afraid they'll have her still be with Chakotay.
