117. You know...I agree. And I don't know why. But they're pretty much one of my absolutel favourite canon-couples ever. It's not a good relationship--it's a horrible torrent of physical and mental abuse, but...there's something about it that's just so fascinating. And much as people would like to claim otherwise, the Joker actually does care about her ("best seat in the house for armageddon" anyone?). Just, y'know, not enough for it ever to be love-love because he's the freaking Joker and it just does not work that way.
But...I dunno, maybe it's because unlike a lot of other comic-couples, you can actually see how they go together? (And heck, can't really imagine the Joker cheating on Harley --with anyone but Bats, anyway. That she's wormed her way so close is just incredible.)
121. I don't really like the idea of M*A*S*H shipping because I think it's wartime, and there's a level of love and camraderie that is just completely seperate from anything sexual. But if you are a slasher, I don't know how you can't "get" hawk/bj or hawk/trapper. Especially with BJ, it was just so...there. At all times. The first time I heard Billy Bragg's "Tender Comrade" I just assumed it was about them.
I can't see Radar and Henry because Radar just looks to Henry as a father-figure, and Henry, I think, is all about ladies. (Hawkeye, I think, is all about sex, as is Trapper. BJ is all about his wife, but he'd probably feel less guilty about cheating on her with a guy).
122. Ollie's funny, but mostly, I'm impressed at how you summed up everything I dislike about Family Guy. I still watch it, it's still funny, but...recent seasons really did seem more like they had an agenda. At least the Simpsons takes the piss out of everyone equally.

145. Do you have to like a character for what they are in canon...as a person? I mean, he's a terrible person, but dangit, he's one of my favourite characters.
And honestly, if we're on the subject of Trevor, I still think that, as a Potions Master, he knew exactly what the potion would/n't do given the state of messed-up-ness it was in. I can't believe otherwise. I like Trevor too much.

I know what you mean, but that's really more a point of platonic love versus romantic or sexual love, and we could be talking about that till Klinger stops wearing ladies lacy briefs.
Oh it's not that I can't see the Trapper/Hawkeye or the BJ/Hawkeye, I can absolutely, and I've read some very wonderful fic for both pairings, but H/T or H/BJ weren't particularly the ones that caught my attention. MASH has such a large cast of characters I always feels it's a bit of a shame the smaller pairings don't get much attention. I'm also very partial to a bit of Charles/Klinger, Radar/Klinger, Radar/Hawkeye, Hawkeye/Mulcahy, Henry/Trapper, Sidney/Hawkeye... the list goes on.
But Radar and Henry gave me the warm squishies right off, and I'll always love them together. With Radar's huge respect for Henry despite his flaws as a leader, his encyclopaedic knowlege of Henry's character, moods and drinks orders, his utter loyalty, the way he trusts Henry absolutely. And then there's Henry's absentminded fondness for Radar, which slowly builds over the series till you can really see just how much he relies on, and trusts Radar, how he looks out for him, and worries about him. There's absolutely a father/son dynamic there, but if you just tilt your head... so much love.
I just love them. I think they're adorable. :D I just wish I knew some other people who did too.

Same with anyone and Mulcahy. Much as I'd love to throw him against the wall of the supply tent and do naughty things, I can't ship him with anybody because at the core of it, his beliefs and his vows are just too important to him. I mean, he was plenty upset when that cute nurse "hugged the dickens" our of him...as a priest at a time when all Masses were still said in Latin...I can't do it. Besides...there has to be one person in the 4077 who's not getting any.
But then, like I said, I'm not really a slasher. I don't go out of my way to read fics, even of the pairings I can see (Klinger/Charles is definitely another, though). So my opinions on the matter are going to be somewhat biased.

*snerk* I like your phrasing there, and yeah, that's probably the core of it. I'm mostly a het-fan, and opting out of romance, I'm a sucker for strong platonic-love stories (probably because it's something I relate to better). But hey, M*A*S*H fandom at least should be a happy place of many opinions.
Besides, I feel your pain. All first three seasons, all I could think is "Oh man, Trapper/Margret OTP much?!" and...nope. No one. Hawk/Hotlips, sure, but noooo Trapper/Hotlips. Ah well.
...
maybe we should be glad the fandom's as small as it is. Can you imagine if M*A*S*H were like Heroes?

I'm sorry, but I think we'll have to agree to disagree. Yes, Yakko has a thing for Hello Nurse, but I still ship Yakko/Dot.

It would never have occurred to Neville, nervous and miserable and frantic as he was, that Snape's threat wasn't completely serious and real. No matter what failsafes Snape may have had in mind, for Neville it really was torture. I could actually see the humor in Snape's behaviour up until this point in the books. He's given me the creeps ever since, so I can see where the OP is coming from. :\

Hermione imprisoned a human being in a jar and blackmailed them. Then she disfigured another girl for life after tricking a bunch of people into signing a blank contract. (I don't care if she had "good intentions." That a person can just do those things, especially the latter, because they're so certain they're Right that they can...it's creepy as all get-out. And "deserving" it or not doesn't cut it for me either. Hermione deciding to be Judge, Jury, and Executioner is downright freaky).
Fred and George shoved Montague into a vanishing cabinent, and he wasn't seen for months. For all they knew, they could've killed him. And he was messed up afterwards, which is a whole 'nother kind of torture right there. Mind, I love Fred and George. But they and a lot of the other "good guys" have done seriously sketchy things.
