What is everyone doing?

I am on day four of my vacation at my sister's house. I am a bit buzzed at the moment. Tonight will continue with more alcohol, homemade pizza, playing games, and watching The Thing.

Catch up on sleep (I am exhausted) and give my mother a ride to the airport on Sunday

Working both days, womp womp. But I've been off the last 3 so I'm ready for it.

Running a murder mystery party tonight. Not really looking forward to it - I'm tired, and I seem to keep getting volunteered to run things, and I don't know how many people are coming :c

Oh no. Did you choose the narrative?

Sort of? I was outvoted on the size of the game, so I picked one I liked from the options available. It's got a sort of Hammer Horror vibe, classic 'wolves and castles and someone gets found with their throat torn out' business. Pretty cool stuff.
Unfortunately, it's also a big and complicated game (more like a survival horror LARP than a standard murder mystery, IMO), and the setup is going to be a *nightmare*. I suggested a smaller and simpler game, but... here we are!

I'm about to make a sandwich for dinner, do a bit of laundry, then head to bed early because this has been an insane week and I'm exhausted.

Tomorrow the family's going out to eat to celebrate my dad's birthday, and the restaurant he picked is one of my favorites, too, so that's awesome. Then afterward I'm going back to my parents' house to help them get all set up for streaming. (They've had crappy satellite TV that constantly went out and no wifi for the past several years, just using their phones for internet, and they finally got fiber internet installed today and canceled their TV and are going to stream so I'm going to help them get everything set up and show them what to do.)

Sunday I'm going to just be hanging out at home and relaxing. :)

Oh man, sounds like a great family weekend! It is great if you to help them with the streaming.

I have to make a long drive on Saturday to get home from a work thing, but then I have Sunday off. I had done some cleaning before I left, so I need to kind of put things back together on Sunday and unpack from my trip. If the weather allows, I may mow the lawn. Not many lawn mowing days left this year!

I am so excited about not having to mow soon! Have a nice Sunday off.

Lets see. Tomorrow I'm going to get a bit of work done. And I'm seeing my counselor. Other than that, I'm going to watch some things. Not sure what yet. Here's what I've got on my computer to watch in the next month while the parents are gone: Dune miniseries, all Star Wars movies, all Men in Black movies, Queen of the Damned movie (I just like this for Stewart Townsend), American horror Story season 8, and LOTR extended. Plus a few random tv episodes. We'll see what I feel like tomorrow.

Sunday I have to drive my parents to the airport at 5AM. Then back to bed. I have class in the afternoon from 3 to 6. Hope to get some laundry done as well. Maybe watch something.

That is a lot of movies! Men in Black is the best. Hope you can get that laundry done at well!

Enjoy the rest of your vacation; it sounds fun!

I took tomorrow off so counting today I have a three day weekend. Today I did all my piled up dishes from the week, watered my garden, bought some groceries and pet treats, and now I’m on my way home and gonna turn around and schlep my clothes to the laundromat when I get there, come home again, feed my critters and put them in for the night, shower, walk around the neighborhood for an hour or so, and go to bed.

Tomorrow I’m going to the yearly botanical garden plant sale, which is what I took the day off for. My aunt said she’d come with, but she hasn’t answered my texts so if she forgot I’ll be getting up super early to take the bus there.

Sunday I’ll figure out and fix up my Halloween costume for the carnival I’m volunteering for next Saturday and another (I have a lot from previous years) for Halloween day since I have to work, do some more gardening, and try to make royal icing to glue together the sugar skull fronts and backs I’ve been making for Dia de los Muertos at work the Saturday after Halloween.

I also need to tidy up because my uncle is coming to visit next Sunday, and make work lunches for the week.

What are you going to be for Halloween?

Doing a gig at a party with some people from my wind ensemble tomorrow evening. On Sunday, trying to sell things at something they're not calling a flea market, but which I suspect will have a certain flair of it anyway.

I'm gonna have breakfast with my best friend and we're gonna go clubbing later in the evening. Just gotta find my earplugs so I don't go deaf in the club.

Congratulations on your vacation! :)
My mother is home from the nursing home where she rehabbed for a week after her hip replacement surgery. She's back here irritating us so all is back to normal again, ha-ha. I'm watching "Black Christmas" on Amazon Prime (never seen it) and trying to remain stress-free.

Glad your mother is back home! I hope you enjoyed the movie.
