Hey, someone else who thinks Luke was done dirty! Don’t get me wrong; he can be immature, but the whole Akzeriuth thing seems like it’s Van’s fault, not his.

Absolutely! If I'm remembering correctly, this was right around the time Luke first killed someone too, so he was already traumatized! He thought he could finally make a difference in Akzeriuth, but when they get there everyone just tells him to shut up and wait in the corner like a good boy. Van was the only one treating him with any ounce of kindness or respect, and with their history of course Luke was going to listen to him! Not to mention Ion was right there opening the gate with him, not saying anything! Luke has some ground solid legitimate reasons for not knowing how the world works, and he's already hard on himself once he realizes how different the outside world actually is! It makes me so angry that every single character (except for Guy) tries to slew foot him into the mass grave of regrets when Luke's already making a beeline in that direction, shovel in hand!
