I only watched it once and it was a while ago, but I don't think there was any real fatphobia? The main character is a professional competitive skater who went through a bout of depression and "let himself go". Family and friends are surprised about his appearance, his former ballet teacher berates him a bit because she is worried about his career, and then he has to get in shape for the next season.
