Oh I feel this so hard. I understand it to an extent where the original intent of the story is completely warped from what it was, but even then I can separate it and go 'well it's a different thing, whatever'. Essentially I view is as an AU fanfic where the characters have the same names? xD

But yeah, things will change in adaptations, especially if it's going from a book to visual medium, there are concepts that won't work on a TV screen that can work in a book. People can be bugged by changes if they want, but I'm going to find the people who act like the creators tweaked things to spite them specifically annoying as hell.
