Seconding this. Going into debt for something you want but don't need has never seemed like a good decision to me. But if you have the money to buy the thing and you're just using your credit card for the extended warranty or whatever then that's totally different. I mean, obviously still think hard on it before you pull the trigger, but if you really want it then I'd say go for it.
