I'm torn on Maka's dad, because on one hand he's obviously a loving father, but on the other hand he's obviously, well...gotten into that mess himself. And won't stop what drives her crazy in the first place.

It makes him a great character, though.

Dude I even took a hiatus on Poly for a while to watch anime and I didn't get all the way through all the stuff I'm watching. XDDD (It probably wasn't a good idea to do that when the new season was starting. I got distracted.)

Yeah, this. It's sad to see Maka rag on him so hard but not only did he dig his own grave, he continues to dig it. Some of it's not his fault, though...although he probably should have known better than to ask Blair to pick out a gift for her.
