142. I am going to stick my neck out there and probably get piled on for asking, but: in the context of the story, what is so bad about Bella and Edward's relationship, exactly? My only caveat here is that I haven't read the books, but most of the complaints besides those dealing with bad writing and Bella's obsessive worship seem... off.

(Anonymous) 2008-10-23 05:32 am (UTC)(link)Bella is very and I do mean very dependent on Edward to the point that when he leaves she basically "turns off" and turns into a zombie version of herself.
I will also say that fans let Edward get away with a lot because he's our sparkly!hot!vampire!... if this was any other character or any other guy a lot of his actions would not be okay.
For example when he removes a part of Bella's engine to ensure she doesn't go visit a friend he feels "too dangerous" for her to be hanging out with.
