This. It's possible to enjoy transgressive/violent/otherwise taboo impulses in an immersive kind of fictional catharsis and still treat real people kindly and respectfully. And tbh, I'd rather people who want to ethically play around with that kind of unalloyed dickery have a no-holds-barred murder hobo campaign than call other real people slurs on CoD or write the next grimdark TV show.
