TBH, it sounds like he just got into a drunken fight in a bar?

Which, I'm not saying it's great, but as "arrested for assault" goes, that seems like one of the least dickish kinds.

Seconding this. It sounds like he had his head up his ass that night, but it's honestly horribly easy to have your head up your ass when you're wasted? I'm not saying he should get off completely scot-free, but presuming it was a single punch and not a beat-down, 15K of bail sounds like a pretty reasonable reprimand.

When I was on SPN (in an incredibly minor capacity) a couple of weeks ago, he was genuinely kind to everyone there, including me and I was a nobody who most actors probably would've ignored. So I'm disappointed to hear this news about him. But I also don't think this one episode of assholery makes him a bad person.
