I feel that person has a point cause bringing politics into fandom favourites of all things is just overthinking and causing yourself stress. For example my fave doctor is Chris and Jodie is really fun but Chris was my favourite because I found him so funny when I started watching. I'm not gonna pretend Jodie is actually my favourite just to "one up" another group of people, even if Jodie did remind me of Chris. I feel like that would result in me not enjoying anything because I'm constantly thinking "what would others think of me if I said the truth?!"
