Okay, so reading the article, there are none of the things I actually asked about, but a lot of 'One person said someone was mean to them', which... I don't know if you've interacted with other human beings lately, but there's a lot of dickheads out there.
Also, for this study to actually mean anything, they'd need to compare it to people being bullied over their race, weight, gender, sexuality, religion, disability, or physical deformity. You see, in a shocking twist, most people get bullied in school; and most people who've spent time in pubs have had a random drunk shout bullshit at them. It's not particularly special, even if they're shouting 'Up yours ginger' instead of 'Up yours n*****'.
Oh, but not to diminish their suffering! I'm sure that African-American 10-year-old girl who got shot in the face when the police who'd just kicked down her door thought her Wii controller was a gun would be very sympathetic! :)

white people make up 3/4th of the US. I would be very, very, VERY surprised if they made up less than 3/4ths of mainstream media.

If we want to get even more exact, only a third of California is "non-Hispanic white". Only half of New York City is white. But look at your media! White people, white people, endless oceans of white people - with a black friend to make sassy comments, and a Latino maid to walk by in the background occasionally!
