No, it's because a lot of well known fascists/racists keep saying shit like "the Jews keep replacing our porcelain redheads who are a minority with blacks! It's white oppression and genocide!" and shit like that. They phrase it as though it's an oppressive thing that's happening with ulterior motives of exterminating the precious whites.

That's a nice thought in an ideal world, but worrying about the erasure of redheads is inextricably tied to being a fascist dog whistle now. It happens and you need to be more wary of how you sound when you bring up "but muh redhead erasure!" because you're inches away from falling into redpill territory.

We literally don't know yet if the live action Ariel will have red hair or not, just that she's black. She can still be a redhead, and even if she's not, the redheaded Ariel still EXISTS. Try again.
