I mean... they were put together by an agency to make money? That's how it works. Doesn't mean they don't genuinely get along and like/love each other though. Those things are mutually exclusive.

whoops, aren't* mutually exclusive.

It's marketing.

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 09:29 pm (UTC)(link)
I wouldn't argue that it starts as marketing, and for some groups may continue as marketing, but honestly, to believe that people who literally spend almost ALL of their time together to not get along at all?

(Anonymous) 2019-11-02 09:30 pm (UTC)(link)
Whether or not they actually get along is totally incidental to whether fans perceive them as getting along.

But that's not what OP is talking about? They want it all to be a ruse so that their 'friend' will stop enjoying BTS and thus stop talking about them on posts that OP could just scroll past.

I don't see how it's at all different from what OP is talking about? The image of "everyone truly loves each other" is a ruse. It's marketing. Even if coincidentally everyone actually does love each other, the image is still an image created by marketing.

And I get how it would be annoying to see someone taking that kind of marketing completely at face value in constant spammy posts that they don't tag properly. I wouldn't necessarily want to go out there and burst the friend's bubble or anything but I completely get how OP is annoyed by it.

Wow, I found the cynical badass.
