There are always these people in any bandom that think that their group is so pure and cares so much and of course they aren't playing up for the promotion just because fans eat that stuff up. The realities of the music business seldom matter much to them. And I say this as a fan of quite a few boybands over the years (I totally bought into to it the first one or two). I mean, every single one has later come out and said that there were issues that the fans didn't know about and some bandmates couldn't stand each other by the end. Now, that doesn't mean that all the stuff that the fans see is fake, just that it's probably much more carefully curated than they might think.
