honestly i want to tear my hair out when i see people online trying to claim that being extremely obese doesn't negatively affect your health at all, because it's just not true. being too fat can cause you serious health problems, just like how being too skinny can cause you serious health problems.

the issue is all the bullshit that gets spread around that being stick-thin is some 'ideal' weight when in reality each person has their own personal healthy weight, and that the range of that healthy weight will vary inside a surprisingly large margin. the trick is finding what's best for you, not going off a 'one size fits all' template that can't possibly be used on every single individual because all our bodies are different.

saying all this though: fuck anyone who's nasty to obese people because of that fact, what you look like should never determine your worth as a person.
