Re: How has your hump day gone?

My mom was in a car accident this morning, so...not great. Fortunately no one was hurt, but the car may be totaled and mom is understandably really depressed about the whole thing. She was on her way to the hospital because her friend was having a medical procedure and wanted her to be there, but she was in such a rush to leave that she forgot to take her morning meds and had a small seizure on the way, which led to her rear-ending someone. Now she doesn't want to drive anymore and I still haven't gotten my license back (I couldn't get it renewed in 2014 due to frequent dizzy spells that several years' worth of expensive doctor's visits and painful and/or otherwise unpleasant tests finally proved to be panic attacks) so I can't drive for her yet. I was going to go take the test tomorrow after my appointment with my psychiatrist, but it's looking like that's not going to happen. Of course, if the car turns out to be unsalvageable, then I guess it won't matter quite as much, as we'll just be back to bumming rides from friends and family like we were last year before we all scraped up enough money to buy this car.

I just wish my family and I could catch a break once in a while.

That sounds horrible! I'm glad you mother is well for the most part, and that the car is salvageable. Best of luck for your Ma's friends surgery, and hopefully you'll catch a break soon enough!

I'm sorry to hear this. :( I've been in car accidents before where nobody was hurt, and it's surprising how demoralizing the experience can be. Best wishes to you and your mom.
