I really could do with fewer people "speaking for everyone" when they're making a complaint, not realising that the rest of us simply didn't feel like starting a discussion by disagreeing with whatever they were grumbling about it.

(most recently, one of my fellow clarinets petitioning for fewer of us to play during the altissimo parts in "Fantasia on the Dargason" because "it's so ugly and piercing and we all think so", apparently never noticing that not a single one of us ever responded with something more than "mm-hmm" when she nagged about it within the section. THERE ARE THREE FFF IT'S SUPPOSED TO BE LOUD)
