... So? How does the ignorance of the Southern kingdoms make the White Walkers any less of a threat to them? It makes them more of a threat, if anything.

I'm just saying that's how the show presented it. The Long Night was...basically nothing. Turned out the Starks actually could solve the problem themselves, albeit with enough faceless battle fodder to be nothing but a distraction while Arya did all the real work. I would have LOVED if the southerners actually had a reason to give a shit but since the directors thought that plot was boring, it turned out to be that way.
